It is the hottest pepper in the world, they call it scorpion because it stings your tongue when you eat it and the end of the pepper is pointy.

it is a piquant pepper i don't know if that means one of a spicy pepper it probably is. do not eat that much Trinidad scorpion peppers or your mouth will burn for hours.
